Our mission at Shoreline Animal Hospital is to create a lifelong partnership with each client and their four-legged friends that will allow us to provide exceptional individualized medical care to meet each of their unique needs in a compassionate, respectful, and thorough manner.
Through a team approach including the client, veterinarians, and our highly educated and well-trained healthcare team, we will strive to exceed your expectations in everything we do to ultimately promote and prolong the bond you cherish with your pet.
Our Story
Dr. West and Dr. Berman met in the fall of 2003 at Essex Veterinary Hospital where they worked together for 3 years. Although they worked opposite hours and rarely saw each other, they soon realized they had a similar practice philosophy and they enjoyed collaborating to provide care as a team. With children in the same school district and many personal interests in common, they soon became good friends.
After three years together in Essex, an opportunity to purchase a practice of their own came along. Neither had planned on pursuing ownership, but Shoreline Animal Hospital was for sale and it seemed a perfect fit. Close to home and a community they felt they could really get involved in, it almost seemed to good to be true. An offer was accepted in July 2006 and ownership was official at the end of August. In 2008, the original office space was expanded and renovated to include a large comfortable reception area, a third exam room, a staff break room and additional office space.
The practice has grown considerably since 2006 and we continue to search for ways to improve our services, facility, knowledge and communication. We look forward to continuing this journey with our clients and their pets.

We also make every effort to keep our costs fair and reasonable. We provide treatment options which take the individual client’s financial needs into account. Please feel free to ask us in advance for an estimate or explanation of our fees.
